Horizons: DeathSpank

What started as a joke has turned into a full-fledged game by Monkey Island creator Ron Gilbert. I am of course talking about DeathSpank. Formerly a pastime only enjoyable by console owners, it was recently released on Steam, so PC gamers can play it as well. And if you’re a Monkey Island fan, there’s plenty to enjoy. Even though it’s an RPG and not an adventure game, the Ron Gilbert brand of humour is definitely there. There’s even a character in the game who knows the Secret of Monkey Island, but unfortunately DeathSpank (the game’s protagonist/vanquisher of evil/hero to the downtrodden) is not interested in hearing about it, so that’s the end of it. If you’re wondering where to spend your gaming allowance and you haven’t played DeathSpank yet, well, you probably should. The sequel, Thongs of Virtue, is also available on XBLA and PSN… and I suppose a PC version won’t be far off.

I’m actually playing it right now…funny as heck!…I don’t want to spoil it for anyone interested but…let’s just say you can’t find syphilis jokes in most games =))
    Definitely recommended!
