Eh, I doubt it’s a special edition of Curse.
As for the rest of the options, I dunno. My optimistic side wants to say a new Monkey Island game, but my other, rational side knows LucasArts and wouldn’t be surprised if he was just talking about the first two special editions.
As for something else, well my rational side says it’s probably just some old Monkey Islands coming to GOG, which is pretty nice I s’pose.

Wow, sweet find, man! 😀 I’m impressed!

I suspect either a whole new, yes new MI game from LucasArts themselves or their teasing a special edition for another adventure game most likely Maniac Mansion since it will be that games 25th birthday next week plus the 25th birthday of the SCUMM engine.

I can’t see it been Curse cause Bill Tiller asked them last year and they said they weren’t interested.

Either that or it could be related to the GOG conference from last week which could mean LA maybe the ones to release 25 games this summer.

Now Nicki Rapp has liked the status… Perhaps voice-work has begun on this (hopefully) new project. Oh my, I appear to be getting my hopes up.

    • Haggis says:

Hmmm… do keep in mind that Nicki’s a Monkey Island fan herself, so that doesn’t necessarily mean anything… but yeah, a new Monkey Island game would be pretty awesome. Although I’d be happy with a release of the older games on GOG, as long as the extras are worth it.

      • HaydenWCE says:

Agreed. However, I can’t say I’m very excited about the notion of ‘extras’. I fail to see how they could give us many extras that we haven’t already seen/heard. I mean, ‘LR:SE’ had tons of concept art, Bill Tiller has provided us with dozens of artworks from the vaults (as has Larry Ahern), and us fans have already founds ways of extracting the soundtracks. They’re ability to provide us with something ‘new and exciting’ would be rather limited, I’d imagine.
