Weekly Wiki: Fester Leach

April 20th, 2011 by | 1 lonely comment

Not much is known about Fester Leach. He is a deceased pirate, but when he was alive he was a master of spitting. One can only imagine the amount of cheerful applause he received on Booty Island when he accumulated a large portion of fluids in his mouth and spat it past the gasping audience at the spitting contest. His coffin is placed in one of Stan’s Kozy Krypts in the Scabb Island Cemetery.

Weekly Wiki: Tales of Monkey Island

April 12th, 2011 by | 4 comments

If you haven’t yet played Tales of Monkey Island and are stubbornly refusing to do so, read this article on the Monkey Island Wiki. Before you’ve reached the end, you’ll be crying like a baby, emptying your wallet and running to the Telltale store in order to buy it. Or, if not, you could try to get it for free. One possibility in that respect is to participate in this contest on Facebook. All you have to do is come up with a funny pirate grog recipe (Grog XD, anyone?) and live in Europe. The latter may be a bit hard for some of you to achieve, but what’s a plane ticket and emigration when you could win a copy of the Tales of Monkey Island Collector’s Edition?

Weekly Wiki: Aunt Tillie

March 29th, 2011 by | 7 comments

Aunt Tillie had the best of intentions when she went through the trouble of baking a carrot cake for her jailed nephew. She even hid a file in the cake so he could escape from prison. Alas, Otis did not like carrot cake and happily traded it away. Thus he rendered the efforts of his aunt useless and… well, not completely useless as Guybrush found a use for the file. If only Aunt Tillie had provided Otis with a little hint to look in the cake or, even better, she could just have given him the file when Fester Shinetop was not around.

Weekly Wiki: Swamp Rot Inn

March 8th, 2011 by | No comments

When you are visiting Scabb Island and are looking for suitable accommodations look no further than The Swamp Rot Inn. It’s Scabb Island’s finest (and only) inn. It has just one room, so you’ll never be disturbed by loud neighbors and a front desk/room service just for you! Be sure to also say hello to Pegbiter, valiant protector of the inn.
